First UK Volvo clocks-up a million

ShellLo.JPG

This F86 was apparently the first ever Volvo sold in the UK - joining the Thomas Hutchinson fleet in May 1967.
By the time it appeared in this Motor Transport advertisement it was over a decade old, and in that time had clocked-up well over a million miles. This apparently had a lot to do with it running on Shell Lubricants.
Does 'LNL 465E' still exist today?

Yes it does, according to Chris gardner, who says:
"I believe that LNL 465E lives on with Volvo at Gothenburg to this day. I've a vague recollection that it was brought across for some anniversary celebrations - perhaps the 25 year event in 1992??"

Richard Stanier adds: "Yes I think that LNL lives on too - the museum angle rings a bell with me also. Certainly I have a Volvo Trucks (Great Britain) Limited brochure from 1982, which features LNL in it's Hutchinson Transport livery lurking in the background of a brand new F12."
