Lightweight Jensen - Will's Roadtransport Revival

JnsnLow.JPG

I was aware that Jensen (JNSN) built trucks for a while (between 1938 and 1960 apparently), but I didn’t know they were responsible for anything quite as beautiful as this.
A quick look in the Encyclopedia of Commercial Vehicles reveals that this unusual truck was a joint venture with Reynolds Tube Co – and thanks to its 2.5-tonne unladen weight, was allowed to do a whopping great 30mph. A few prototypes were built between 1939 and 1944, all with Ford running gear.
If you know anything about it I’d love to hear from you.
