Old trucks in Malta - Will's Roadtransport Revival

And here's some more interesting old workhorses basking in the Maltese sun - all straight out of Colin Barnett's photo library.

Colourful Bedford TJ looking good for its age - (Woops! I meant TA of course!)

It says British Leyland on the bumper, but it is of course a Leyland Freighter (I think!).

This Magirus is in operation with the DiveShack.

It might look like the Popemobile, but this immaculate Ford Cargo is selling cold drinks, fruit and cakes to passing tourists.

Richard Stanier:

I think the Bedford is a TA, rather than a TJ - it's the older model. I wonder if the Magirus started life as a fire applicance?

BDV:

The Magirus looks like a fire applicance. But if the blue color is the original one, the Magirus is a ex-THW vehicle. (Technische Hilfswerk, the THW is the German disaster protection organization)
