Running a Marathon in the Middle East

Following on from my Destination Doha blog, Richard Stanier has sent me this fantastic image - straight out of a 1970s British Leyland sales brochure.
You are of course looking at an Astran Middle East-spec Leyland Marathon tractor, and doesn't it look fantastic?

And on the subject of Leyland Marathons, check out this example that Commercial Motor's Colin Barnett photographed on a recent trip to Cyprus.
