How to piss off Ken Livingstone

Magirus.jpg

I've just returned from Iveco's Stralis factory in Ulm, Germany, where I discovered this old Magirus. It had a key in the ignition, and as you can see, it still runs (just).
My hosts reckon it probably hails from the mid 1970s, but it looks more modern than that to me. I would have guessed very early 1980s, but I'm sure one of you will know the exact year of manufacture.

Cool.

You should bring it back and drive in the congestion charge zone every day for a month without paying. They won't trace it. Piss Ken off some more :-)

Surely you've heard that SCR trucks make a bit of smoke from cold in the morning!

Guess you already know that's the legendary 'club of four' cab, also used on Volvo F6/F7s and misc Berliets and Dafs. 1980s would be my guess although it's probably had a bit of updating (looking at the wheel trim rings). Appears to be quite rustfree, ideal for someone needing a cab for their classic Volvo restoration!
