Mystery Polish truck

Mys.JPG

Itook this picture in Krakow, Poland, on New Year's Eve. It was parked outside a pub somewhere near the town square. I'd love to tell you what it is, but I'm afraid I haven't got a clue - on account of being a little bit drunk (at the time of taking the picture). I do have a vague recollection of writing the name down on a napkin, but for the life of me can't remember what happened to it.
So, does anyone have any ideas?

D Powell:

I have no idea what the truck is but if it is of any help the plate is a German 'seasonal' issue from Berlin. The final character on the right hand side is two numerals between 01 and 12 over a hotizontal line over two more similar numerals representing the months between which the registration is valid.

D Powell:

Looking at my usual source of details of German buses and trucks www.olafs-fotoseite.de it appears that the truck is a Barkas-Framo possibly a V901.

K. Hahnewald:

Its an east-german Framo / V901(2)-Pritsche.

Framo stands for FRAnkenberg MOtorenwerke.

The Framo had an 3 cylinder engine (of an IFA F9) with 33 hp.
It could carry up to 0,75 tons at a maximum speed of 70 kmh.
It came in three different versions.

As "Pritsche" with a platform and suicide doors, as "Bus" and as "Kombi" like station wagon.

There have been some special versions like an ambulance, mail-delivery-van or an utility van for fire departements and the east german police.

I like the Framo. Its a charming lil fella and has been very reliable.
