What the Zuk is that?

ZUK.JPG

I have just returned from a weekend break to Krakow, Poland, where I spent hours searching the streets for interesting old trucks and vans to photograph. Well actually that’s a slight exaggeration. In truth I went there to drink cheap beer and vodka, and only took this photo because I thought the badge on the grille said ‘FUK’!
But now that I’m no longer wearing beer goggles, I can see that it’s actually a ‘Z’ and not an ‘F’.
A quick search on Google, reveals that the Poles started building these things in 1958, and incredibly they were still rolling out of the Lublin factory in 1997. According to Wikipedia they were based on some sort of a 1940s Chevrolet, and were eventually replaced by the arguably more attractive Lublin.
