First hybrid truck in hazardous material operations

Fears over the extensive electonics involved in the make-up of a hybrid truck can be dispelled with the introduction into service of this Freightliner Business Class M2e. The truck, with a diesel-electric hybrid system jointly developed by Eaton and Daimler, will carry propane gas for Pennington Gas Service in the US states of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
