Hino. Discuss.

On the one hand, the Japanese OEM is doing clever stuff with hybrids. Witness this report, which speaks of a gasoline-electric hybrid due for launch in 2010 in Japan, North America and Australia.

Very good; but note the absence of Europe here. And Europe is where the rumours lie at present. There is a lot of interesting conjecture doing the rounds viz Hino and Europe, and Japanese-speakers might want to take a look at the Nikkan Kogyo Shinbun newspaper from the 29th December last year. We don't speak Japanese, and so we'll await an answer from Hino to one or two well-phrased and pertinent questions.
