Role Profile



Our client, who is a leading 3PL business, is looking for an experienced Assistant Transport Manager. Working in a fast paced, dynamic transport office, you will be responsible for overseeing all the transport related duties. This includes driver management, health & safety, vehicle utilisation and cost management. Although you will report into the Transport Manager, it is expected that you deputise and manage the department in their absence. Therefore, you will need to be confident in making decisions and thinking on your feet.







Skills & Experience

You will have at least 3 years experience working in a similar high volume, fast paced transport environment. You will be confident in communicating at all levels and have a natural pride in your work. Equally, you will be commercially aware and be a strong leader. Experience of working in a unionised environment is desirable but not essential. However, a CPC is a pre-requisite.

Remuneration

c. £28,000 - £30,000 + excellent blue chip benefits
