Motor Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic with Current VOSA MOT testers Card required in Manchester

Mon - Fri 8.30 - 17.30, Sat on Rota 9.30 - 13.00

Starting Salary £18k plus Bonus

Experience Required:

· Qualified Vehicle Technician to NVQ level 3
· Must be VOSA Approved MOT Tester with Smart Card
· Ideally Franchised Dealership Background

Perfect Placement, Motor Trade Recruitment Specialists require an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic ideally with a background of working on Passenger Cars for our Motor Trade Clients in Manchester.

As a Motor Vehicle Technician you will be fully qualified to Service and Repair Passenger Cars and Light Commercial Vehicles. You will be able to work on all areas of Vehicle Mechanics and Electronics, from the engine and exhaust systems to the air-conditioning and security features.

As a Motor Vehicle Technician, your typical duties would include:

· Finding and identifying faults
· Advising customers if repairs are needed and how critical they are
· Providing time and cost estimates for jobs
· Carrying out repairs and replacing damaged and faulty parts
· Fitting and servicing accessories like radios and alarms
· Carrying out routine servicing and checks.

As Motor Vehicles become more sophisticated, you will be required to have experience and confidence using the latest Vehicle Diagnostic Equipment that is used to control Vehicle Systems.

To apply for this position you will be required to have the following Qualifications

An Automotive NVQ from levels 1 to 3. This NVQ has several options, including:

· City & Guilds Award and Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (3901/4101)
· BTEC National Certificate and Diploma in Vehicle Technology
· BTEC National Certificate and Diploma in Engineering (Automotive).
· Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (options in light or Heavy Vehicles, Motorcycles, Auto Electrics, Electronics and Security)
· VOSA Approved MOT Smart Card
