MVP’s retail client is going through an exciting period of dramatic growth and is looking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to manage and develop the team.
The main focus of the role is to oversee the effective, timely and safe day to day management of the LGV operation and delivery fleet.

Main Duties:
• Maintain daily contact with vehicle service providers to ensure legal compliance
• Maintain the standards of the company operators licence including drivers hours, working time directive and vehicle maintenance
• Optimise cost effective use of assets and resources
• Liaise with internal customers to ensure day to day operational requirements are met or exceeded
• Ensure H&S compliance of LGV and delivery van fleet
• Be responsible for setting clear objectives, performance and development of all direct reports

Ideal candidate must be a strong motivator, with the ability to achieve excellence through focus and leadership. A Certificate of Professional Competence (minimum National) is essential together with a good knowledge of major UK retail operations.
