This independent and progressive third party transport provider have a well earned reputation in the distribution of temperature controlled food products to producers, retailers and foodservice companies. There is now a requirement for a transport professional to manage their distribution operations.
Managing the efficient and timely distribution of a large fleet of artics, the priorities will be meeting cost targets, improving service levels and driver productivity, customer liaison, increasing efficiencies in planning / routing, ensuring high standards of in-house fleet maintenance and legal / health & safety compliance.
The role will require an experienced and 'hands on' Transport Manager with a CPC who has managed a large fleet involved in food distribution, ideally temperature controlled. A strong leader with good communication and transport planning skills, you will operate a cost effective operation within a fast moving and time sensitive environment. You will have the commercial awareness and interpersonal skills to establish and develop robust customer relationships.
