The Little Green Truck is Commercial Motor’s campaign to raise environmental awareness among those in the industry, as well as the people who benefit most from commercial vehicles: the public. Our aim is simple. With campaign supporters Michelin and Shell Lubricants - as well as Green Paper sponsor DAF Trucks - we’ll be providing help and advice for truck and van operators over the coming months on how to tread a safe path through the current environmental minefield, as well as helping them to reduce their environmental footprint along the way.

Facts and figures

But the Little Green Truck campaign isn’t just about self-help, although that’s an important part of it. It will also provide operators with facts and figures to help counter the tired old myths about HGVs being dirty and smelly. Those same facts, such as how many millions of tonnes of CO2 the industry saved last year, can also be used to show customers what is going on in the supply chain in terms of green initiatives.
